January 2019 House Afternoon
The children participated in a number of activities within their house groups with a focus on teamwork. They worked together to cross rivers, transport hoops, guide partners through a challenging course and made marble runs.
Well done to all the children for showing they are energised learners and team mates. A special mention to the house captain and vice captains, who supported the activities and took full responsibility for setting up and tidying away. They showed fantastic leadership during the afternoon.
Autumn Term House Event 2017
Children were placed in their houses for a fun afternoon of events led by the heads of house. These involved relay races, problem solving and more. Children were looking to show the adults observing that they were following our PRIDE learning behaviours. All children who showed they were energised for the afternoon earned their house a house point.
RD's first house event led by the PE, RE and PSHE Faculty
The children took part in a range of stimulating and unforgetable activities, including: rolling down a hill, kick boxing taught by a world champion, holding an animal, flying a kite and learning a new language. A fantastic afternoon was had by all. The behaviour for learning was outstanding; children worked collaborately showing the RD values.
