Thank you to all those who attended Round Diamond's Harvest Celebrations.
The children were very proud of their performances. Well done to all those involved.
The Mayor of Stevenage stated that he was incredibly impressed with the exemplary behaviour at Round Diamond and that he thoroughly enjoyed learning more about harvest time.
North Herts Sanctary are very appreciative for all the goods kindly donated - thank you very much.
This afternoon the school choir visited the residents of Martins House. They shared their harvest songs as well as songs from their club. The children really enjoyed this experience and did superbly even though it was their first public performance.
After singing the children had the opportunity to talk to the residents. One of the residents, who was previously a Headteacher, complimented the children on their outstanding behaviour and informed them that 'Joy, joy is what you always bring to us.'
Thank you to the staff who accompanied them: Miss Bacon, Mrs Kennedy-Weeks, Mrs Wood and Mrs Wicksey.
The children look forward to returning at Christmas.
The Early Years Team spent Saturday building on and re-designing elements of the outdoor learning environment. We are fortunate to have a large space for the children to extend their learning opportunities outside. A newly resourced Castle - where stories can be re-enacted, to an Enchanted Forest - where spells can be cast, the children's learning will continue to be developed to it's full potential in a stimulating environment. Let us know what you think - please email the office (admin@rounddiamond.herts.sch.uk).
The outdoor learning zones take a huge amount of time to organise and maintain by staff. We would appreciate your support in helping with this by encouraging your children not the play within the areas when arriving and leaving school.
