• McMillan's Brave the Shave

  On Monday we were joined in assembly by Liam, a Macmillan volunteer, who helped Mr Paice ‘Brave the Shave’. Brave the shave is a fundraiser for the charity which encourages people to raise money by shaving their hair off. It also raises awareness of Cancer and acts as a show of support to sufferers – many of whom lose their hair during treatment. Liam explained to the children about the good work the charity does and how the money raised is spent. Mr Paice has raised £600 for the charity and as a result had his hair (and beard) shaved off at the end of the assembly. He would like to thank everyone who donated to this worthy cause.

  

• RD's Race for Life

  Thank you so much to all those who took part in RD's Race for Life - it was such a huge success! We have raised a significant amount of money for Cancer Research - Thank you and well done!

  

• Chicks

  Luckily, all of the RD chicks have now hatched! They will be making their way to all the classes so every child can enjoy this wonderful experience!

  

• Year 6 Open Afternoon

  Year 6 welcomed parents to share their RE and music learning.
  
  They performed 2 songs and showed their harmonious voices.
  
  The children shared their learning about Religion through Art and chose either a Buddhist Mandala or a Christian stained glass window to produce with their parents using coloured paper and a collage technique.
  
  Thank you to all who attended. It was a very enjoyable afternooon.
