Round Diamond Houses
At Round Diamond, we have 4 houses: St David's, St Patrick's, St George's and St Andrew's. Children can earn house points by showing our Round Diamond PRIDE behaviours and also at our annual Sports Day. Each term, the house points are totalled and the winning house celebrates with a fun house afternoon; this might be indoor games, ice lollies outside or watching a movie. Our House Captains help to organise the afternoons and support and encourage pupils in their houses to earn all important house points.
Autumn Term House Winners
Huge congratulations to St David's House who had the most House Points this term!
House Event Thursday 23rd October 2024
This morning, we had a whole school house event at Round Diamond. We joined together in our houses to learn all about the value of Being Successful. The House Captains taught us all about the ingredients for success and we learned about some successful famous people. We then created a Success factfile or a comic strip all about ourselves or a famous person!
House Event Tuesday 13th February 2024
On Tuesday 13th February, Round Diamond held a House Event using our school value of Determination as our theme. The whole school spent the morning in mixed year groups with their fellow House members, learning about what determination was and the power of the word 'yet'! House Captains delivered a quiz which they had created and the pupils learned about famous people who have shown great determination. All the children set themselves a goal and chose a positive affirmation to help them achieve it. It was a really positive and focused morning and we look forward to hearing about how the children are getting on as they work towards their goals!
House Afternoon November 2023
On Thursday 23rd November, all the children took part in our House Afternoon where children were in mixed year groups with other children from their houses.
The theme of the afternoon was being environmentally responsible and the house captains planned the activities, created the PowerPoint quizzes and supported the teachers to deliver the sessions. In years 1 to 6, the pupils learned more about recycling, took part in a book swap and created hats and leaves from recycled materials. In Nursery and Reception, children planted seeds which they will now be helping to grow.
