Visions and Values

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

Our Round Diamond School Values are:

Responsible, Determined, Successful

These reflect the qualities we strive to instil in our pupils.

We encourage the children to think about and embody these values throughout their time at Round Diamond. These values form the basis of our school ethos and are regularly discussed with children.

We use our positive behaviour system to reward children who demonstrate these values.

British Values

All schools are required to promote the British Values as set out by the government. Round Diamond School reinforces these values in a variety of ways. The values are set out below and explained further.

  • Democracy
  • The Rule of Law
  • Individual Liberty
  • Mutual Respect
  • Tolerance of those of Different Faiths and Beliefs

Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Round Diamond, we are committed to promoting resilience and positive wellbeing for our pupils and staff. Whilst we understand that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to addressing mental health and wellbeing, we consider it to be of central importance and intrinsic to our lives.

We share this message with all members of our school community and ensure that discussions around mental health and wellbeing are had with openness and encouragement. We believe having a mentally healthy community is not about feeling happy all the time, but about working together through challenges and sharing celebrations; we work collaboratively to ensure staff and pupils feel supported, heard, accepted, valued, and empowered.
